The Department of Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies offers courses an array of ancient languages. Regular courses include Arabic, Greek, Hebrew, and Latin, and on a rotating basis, Akkadian, Aramaic, Coptic, and Middle Egyptian.
