Her research focus is the representation of the Thracian in Greek and Roman drama, as a case study of imagined ethnic boundaries in the social landscape of the ancient Mediterranean. Other interests include lyric meter, ancient mime, Hellenistic poetry, and the reception of Homer and Euripides in postcolonial Asia
