About
In May 2024, I received my BA Honours in Classical Studies from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick. I also received minors in Ancient Greek, Geography, and Visual and Material Culture Studies. During my undergrad, I had the privilege to participate on two archaeological field schools: in 2022, the Venus Pompeiana Project in Pompeii, Italy; and in 2023, the Torre Mordillo Archaeological Project in Spezzano Albanese, Italy. My undergraduate research focused on the cultural interactions between the Indigenous Peoples of Southern Italy and the Greek colonists during the Iron Age. I investigated the cultural interactions through funerary objects from various Indigenous sites of the Sibaritide.
As an MA student, I am interested in researching the human impact on the environment in the Ancient Mediterranean through the development of cities and technologies. I hope to investigate how these phenomena can be connected to the Anthropocene. As well as how we can continue to preserve ancient archaeological sites.
