About

In 2024, I received my B.A. with Highest Honors in Classical Archaeology and a second major in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As an undergraduate, my research focused on ancient conceptions of physical embodiment and the portrayal of anatomical structures through both textual sources and material culture. During this time, I also developed a passion for archaeological laboratory work, and was fortunate to gain hands-on experience with several institutions, including the North Carolina State Office of Archaeology, the Research Laboratories of Archaeology at UNC, and Wilson Library Special Collections.
As a Master’s student, my focus lies broadly in ancient Mediterranean demography during the Classical Period. I am interested in how communities responded to regional ecological factors, as well as how these responses are reflected in medical practice and overall population health. I hope to explore how this data can be informed by disability and gender studies frameworks.
