The LOGOS Editorial Team is now accepting submissions for the upcoming 2023/24 issue of Logos. The journal welcomes the submission of any work pertaining to the ancient world for consideration. We accept submissions from any department outside of AMNE, but of course welcome submissions of work written for the AMNE department as well. Papers must pertain to the ancient Mediterranean and ‘Near Eastern’ world, but departments including (but not limited to) HIST, ANTH, ARTH, PHIL, CRWR, FIST, RELG, ENGL, CRWR, THTR, and more are encouraged to submit pieces.
This year, for the first time, Logos seeks to publish a multidisciplinary collection of pieces including visual art, creative writing, translations, compositions, and academic essays. If you have an idea for a submission that doesn’t fall under these categories, please email logos.amne@ubc.ca.
You must be an undergraduate student at UBC to submit to the journal. Submissions from students who attend institutions outside UBC will not be considered, nor will graduate or post-graduate work.
You may submit up to three pieces in total to the journal, with no more than two pieces in each category. Logos will be starting a blog where we will publish more student work, and we encourage you to submit any rejected pieces to the blog once it’s up and running.
Your paper must not have been published in another journal for publication.
All works must be completely anonymized: Please exclude your name, professor’s name, and course code.
Thank you so much for your interest, we look forward to reviewing your submission!
