About

I received a B.A. in Classics with a Greek emphasis from the University of Utah, and minored in Classical Civilizations. While at UofU, I participated in undergraduate research, looking at heroine cult across Ancient Greece and the function of those cults in the general society. I went on to present that research as a poster “Leukothea, Helen, and Pasiphaë: Female Heroes and Their Cults” at the Classical Association of the Middle West and South in 2023 in Provo. I am particularly interested in hero(ine) cult in Ancient Greece, but I am also very interested in Mycenaean culture and history after living in Greece for a bit and getting to see Mycenaean sites in person. I hope to continue to a PhD program after my MA, hopefully still researching Ancient Greek religion and/or reception.

I am an avid reader, particularly of myth retellings and sci-fi/fantasy, so I enjoy examining examples of reception all of those. I am a big fan of The Elder Scrolls, which also gets some attention in regards to classical reception, and I love skiing and kayaking in my free time.
