About

I received my B.A. (Hons.) degree in Classical Languages and Ancient History from Victoria College, University of Toronto, my M.A. degree in Classics from the University of Toronto, and my A.M. and Ph.D. degrees in Classics from Johns Hopkins University. My areas of expertise are Latin Language and Literature of the late Republican and early Imperial periods and early Imperial Roman History. My Ph.D. dissertation focused on the Roman poet Lucan, his epic De Bello Civili and the Neronian period of Roman History. I love teaching Latin! My favourite Roman authors are Tacitus, Ovid and Propertius. I have taught the Greek and Latin languages and Ancient History in Classics departments at numerous Canadian universities in Ontario, Nova Scotia and BC.
