CALL FOR PAPERS: Archaeology Day 2023

DATE
Monday February 20, 2023

UBC’s Archaeology Day Symposium is an annual event that showcases to the UBC community and wider public current archaeological research being done by students and faculty in the AMNE and Anthropology departments. This year’s meeting will take place on Saturday, March 25th. The theme is learning by doing, face-to-face practice and experimental archaeology. This way of undertaking experiential learning and research provides avenues to comprehend how things were made, how they were shared, and what value they held for communities in the past. The theme also encompasses reciprocal knowledge exchange —the ways different communities (academic, Indigenous, public) can learn from each other when we engage face-to-face.
